Tower Hill Primary School is a single-form-entry school, set in beautiful grounds, with a large playing field. We pride ourselves on being a happy, safe, caring and progressive values-based school, where staff and families work together to nurture self-belief and inspire a love for learning.

We aim to be a place where all of our children, families and staff are valued, respected and supported, and a place where the educational, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of every child will be met.

Part of the River Learning Trust family

Tower Hill is part of River Learning Trust (RLT) – a multi-academy trust responsible for a number of primary and secondary schools in Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.

The trust’s other primary schools include three excellent schools in Witney – Madley Brook, Windrush CofE and Witney Community.

Its secondary schools include Oxfordshire's only outstanding-rated secondary – The Cherwell School in Oxford – as well as The Swan School, the city's newest secondary, which is yet to be inspected by Ofsted.

In West Oxfordshire, its secondaries are Chipping Norton and The Marlborough School in Woodstock. 

The admissions process

Admissions to Tower Hill Primary School are handled by Oxfordshire County Council.

Parents of children born between September 1^st 2017 and August 31^st 2018 (inclusive) need to apply for a Reception year place for September 2022.

Parents and carers should list three schools, putting their favourite at number one.

It is advised that a child’s catchment school is among the three schools chosen by parents and carers, but this is not a requirement.

Applications can be made using a paper form, copies of which are available from the school office.

Key dates

The admissions process for people seeking a Reception place in September 2022 opens on November 2nd 2021.

The closing date for applications is January 15th 2022.
