EYFS Outdoors/Forest School

We ask that all children have a pair of wellies and waterproof trousers or an ‘all in one’  that can be left in school to change into when it is wet and / or muddy outside.

All clothing (including shoes) and personal property must be clearly marked with your child’s name. Please check labeling at intervals for fading. Lost property is collected by the school office. Whilst every effort will be made to find lost items of clothing, the school cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.

Hair

Long hair must be tied back with simple hair accessories in the school colours navy, white, grey or black. Any children who arrive at school with loose hair will provided with a hair tie and asked to tie it up. Similarly children who wear excessively large bows or headbands with cat ears will be asked to remove them. No colour products should be used in hair (i.e. bleach, dye, highlights or coloured extensions). No extreme hair styles e.g. fashion/celebrity styles are permitted; this includes mohicans, overuse of gel and patterns shaved in hair.

Jewellery and Accessories

Jewellery should not be worn. One pair of small gold or silver stud earrings and a watch are permitted but children must be able to remove these themselves for PE lessons (Health & Safety regulations).  Nail varnish should not be worn. There should be no visible tattoo transfers.

Any children who come to school with jewellery other than that listed above will be asked to remove it. Items will be placed in the teacher’s cupboard and returned to a parent at the end of the day. Children who come to school with nail polish on will be asked to remove it using the school’s nail varnish remover.
